Skullcaps

The custom of wearing a skullcaps was most probably instituted in Talmudic times (approximately the second century CE). The first mention of it is in the Talmud in Tractate Shabbat, where if discusses fear of G-d. Covering the head is a sign of humility, acknowledging that G-d is watching, and "above".

Today Personalizing Skullcaps to enhance Celebrations such as Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvas, Weddings, Bris Milahs, and Aufrofs, is very common. At KippotCenter We provide the highest quality of Satin, Suede, Leather, and Moiré skullcaps beautifully imprinted, with quick and courteous service. We also supply Lace Doilies, Shul Skullcaps, Kippah Clips, Talitot, and Kitels.

Tallit (Tallis, Prayer Shawl)

A Tallit is a four cornered garment worn during prayers. The fringes on the Talit or called Tzitzit, and these Tzitzit make the wearing of the Talit significant. The Bible commands that as a remainder of G-d’s commandments, Tziztit be attached to all four cornered garments. Being that today such garments are not worn, in order to fulfill the commandment, during prayers, a Tallit is put on. A Tallit is symbolic to our love for G-d’s commandments.
